What KeepNest does with your data

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the KeepNest Chrome extension and this website. It covers collection, AI screening and organization, sign-in, payments, and optional synchronization.

2. Your local library

Saved posts, categories, processing instructions, personal notes, and original image links are stored in your browser's extension storage. If you choose X History during setup, only complete posts loaded on that X page are staged locally. KeepNest does not access Chrome browsing history or keep a server-side copy of your library.

3. What AI processing sends

When you start interest analysis, posts loaded on X History or your manually entered interests are sent to KeepNest and its AI provider to generate your saving profile. After you enable automatic collection, complete visible posts on supported X pages are sent for screening as you browse. Organization sends post text, relevant images and your processing instructions. Requests may be handled by Vercel AI Gateway or DeepSeek, including fallback processing. KeepNest does not persist AI request content in its account database or files. Third-party providers apply their own policies. Turning off automatic collection stops new automatic screenings; manually requested analysis or organization can still send the selected content. Provider policies: Vercel AI Gateway and DeepSeek.

4. Account details

Google sign-in identifies your KeepNest account on the website and in the extension. We store your Google account identifier, email, display name, avatar reference, plan and usage information. We verify Google credentials without retaining them. Your browser stores a KeepNest session token; the account store holds its hash, not the token itself. Pro checkout is hosted by Waffo, which receives your email, an account reference and selected plan to process payment. KeepNest stores subscription identifiers and status, but does not receive or store your card number. We do not request Gmail, Drive or Contacts access.

5. Optional synchronization

You choose whether to enable a sync destination. Obsidian writes Markdown into a local vault folder you authorize; syncing the same item again updates its corresponding file. Images remain links to their original hosts. If you explicitly connect Feishu, selected content is sent through KeepNest to your own Feishu documents; authorization tokens are encrypted on our service. Feishu synchronization records and authorization remain until you disconnect it. Disconnecting does not delete documents already created. Neither destination changes your local library.

6. What we do not do

We do not sell your data, use your saved content to train models, or show ads. The extension does not monitor pages you open outside its supported collection flow. Optional analytics on this website is described below and only loads after you accept.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

KeepNest's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve KeepNest's user-facing functionality. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility, or transfer it for purposes unrelated to KeepNest's single purpose.

7. How long data is kept

Your library, categories, processing instructions and image references stay in your browser until you delete them or remove the extension. KeepNest does not keep a server-side library copy. Account profile and plan data are kept while your account is open and deleted from the active account store when you delete your account. Usage counters are deleted within 24 hours after the end of each UTC calendar month. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days, and expired session records are deleted within 24 hours. IP addresses used for short-term API rate limiting are held in server memory for no more than 60 seconds. KeepNest server security and error logs are kept for no longer than 30 days. Encrypted account and authorization backups are retained for up to 30 days. KeepNest does not persist AI request content; third-party AI providers may apply their own retention policies.

8. Deleting your data

Sign out on this website or in the extension. In the extension, you can export a library backup, delete individual items, or restore a backup. Delete your KeepNest account from Account & access to remove its active account data and revoke sessions; your local library and categories remain until you delete them or uninstall. Feishu authorization is separate: disconnect it in Sync destinations to remove stored authorization. Remove the extension to remove its local settings, and keep a backup first if needed.

9. Children

KeepNest is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your machine, we will say so inside the extension before the change takes effect.

12. Website analytics

KeepNest uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to this website, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors interact with the site. Analytics is optional and is not loaded unless you choose Accept analytics. The analytics tag may use cookies and process page URLs, referrers, browser/device information and interaction events. It does not receive your extension library or saved post contents. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and policies. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
