Save the content, not just the address
A browser bookmark stores a way back to a page. A content saver also preserves useful material from that page, so you can read, search, and work with it later. The right choice depends on what you expect to find again: an address, a passage, an example, or an idea.
KeepNest is a Chrome extension and personal content library. Its first collection source is X. It can save complete posts you browse, keep their source links and images, and organize matching posts according to your interests. General website clipping is not available yet.
Choose what deserves a place in your library
Write a saving rule in ordinary language. Name the subject, the kinds of material you want, what makes an item useful, and what you want to skip. Several independent interests can be joined with “any one of these,” rather than forcing every post to match them all.
Example: “Keep practical examples about independent products or AI workflows. Prefer specific steps, clear constraints, and reusable prompts. Skip empty hype and promotions without useful detail.” This is an example rule, not a default promise that every post will be saved.
Keep enough context to reuse it
For a saved X post, KeepNest keeps the original text, author, link, available reference images, and the organized result. Choose a summary for research, extraction instructions for reusable material, or original-only storage when you want to preserve wording.
The local library is the main copy. You can search it, add your own notes, and export a backup. Optional Obsidian sync writes Markdown into a folder you choose. Images stay linked to their original hosts, so availability is not guaranteed forever.
What KeepNest does not collect
KeepNest does not scan every website, fetch an entire account history, or download video transcripts. Collapsed posts wait for you to expand them. Unavailable or incomplete source material cannot become a complete archive simply because AI is involved.
See the X saving guide for the supported flow, and the privacy policy for when content is sent for AI screening and organization.
