Start with the task, not the replacement
KeepNest is our product. This comparison is based on public documentation checked October 10, 2026, not an independent ranking. Dewey may remain a better fit if its documented saved-collection workflows match your needs. KeepNest is worth evaluating when the problem happens earlier: you miss relevant posts because manually saving each one interrupts browsing.

What changes with KeepNest
You confirm a saving profile, then browse X normally. Complete visible posts can be screened and relevant items kept locally, with original text, source links and category instructions. Manual sync writes selected Markdown notes to your chosen Obsidian folder. Your existing account bookmarks are not automatically migrated or removed.
What you should not expect
KeepNest is not a complete historical importer, a full-thread crawler, an offline media downloader or a team knowledge platform. AI requests use relevant post content; local storage is not a claim that AI runs entirely offline. Try a few references, check their original text and source, and export a local backup before switching any workflow.
A small evaluation you can reproduce
Write one broad interest and choose a concrete example of useful information. Enable collection, browse fresh posts, and check what was actually saved. Search for one source phrase, copy a useful passage, and manually sync one note. Judge the result by whether you can reuse it; do not treat setup sample imports as proof of future matching accuracy.
